What we ask

This is a sober shelter, and that's the whole reason some people choose it. Everyone who comes in blows a zero on a breathalyzer and carries no alcohol, drugs, or paraphernalia. It's strictly enforced, and it's what keeps the building the way it is.

We require a current ID to enter the building.

A shower is required. We'll go over the code of conduct and the shelter rules at check-in.

If you have an active cough, we may ask you to wear a mask.

Meals

You don't have to be staying here to eat here.

The kitchen serves 10000+ meals a month, every day of the year.

On a full night the kitchen feeds 250 to 275 people. There's no reason to leave hungry.

Anyone can come to the table - families, working people who ran short this month, anyone who's hungry. Any age, any gender, no questions and no cost.

Breakfast

8:00–8:45AM
Daily, all year.

Supper

4:30–6:00PM
Daily, all year.

Clothing room

Work clothes, winter gear, and kids' sizes.

The clothing room is open to:

  • Overnight Clients on Wednesday's from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM
  • LifeSkills & Beauty In Grace 1 year participants on Tuesday's anytime.

We stock work clothing for men and women, street clothing for anyone living outside, and children's clothing and winter wear for families in the neighborhood whose budget won't stretch to it.

Contact us if you have a clothing emergency outside of clothing room hours

If you have an interview, a new job, or a clothing emergency of any kind, come to the front desk and we'll help as best we can.
